It continues to amaze me how much I learn from the children. They are by nature very curious and always asking questions and as a result, I find myself constantly looking for answers either in books or surfing the internet. They often expect me to know what exactly they are talking about, so I have to keep up to date with everything. This, in turn, makes me a more knowledgeable and well-informed person among other great skills they teach me.

After working in this amazing organization for 10 years now, one would think that at this point it would be a walk in the park. I couldn’t be more wrong. The exciting challenges that come with helping the children be the best of themselves constantly keeps me on my toes.

When I get asked the question of why I choose to work with children, my immediate thought is “why wouldn’t you want to work with children?” I love that no single day is the same, new and exciting challenges with different dynamics on a daily basis. One of my favorite things about working with the kids is the amount of joy and happiness they exude, it is so refreshing to watch. I wouldn’t do anything else (if I had the choice).
